Good afternoon, church! 

First of all, I wanted to thank everyone from the church who blessed me by coming to my 50th Birthday Party on Saturday!  According to our count, we had well over 100 people show up at our home, and most of that was YOU!   It was so fulfilling to see the awesome turnout at our home!  I told someone that a lot of people have to die before it is realized how much they were loved and how many friends they have, but I got to see it with my own two eyes!  Praise the LORD for His goodness!

So if you were one of the ones who brought food and helped Shannon put it together, if were one of the ones who blessed me with a card or gift, or if you just simply came and blessed me with your presence, THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!  Most important, to my awesome wife Shannon – Thank you babe for the labor of love you poured into making my day so special!  

As fun as Saturday was, Sunday was a “fun-day” too!  There was a lot of life on the time of praise & worship and the message was on time for so many of us as we continued in our series, “The Good Life (A study of the 23rd Psalm)” by looking at the first “verse” of verse two – “He makes me to lie down in green pastures.”  We learned a lot of good things from this verse such as the LORD never “makes” us do anything, what “green pastures” really means for us, and how learning to lie down is such an important lesson to learn.

Here’s our schedule for the week:

1.  The Pastor’s Study live video will be held on Wednesday night @ 5:30 this week!   We are studying the Book of Ephesians and really just got started, so join us on our Pastor’s Study Facebook group Wednesday night!   

2.   Our Wednesday Evening Prayer / Bible Study group meets on Wednesday night @ 7 PM.  Come join us for these great times of fellowship, as we study the Bible and then pray together!  Come join us in the House of Expectation!

3.  Healing School meets Thursday morning @ 10:30 AM in the House of Expectation.  Minton will be leading the group this week, so make plans to join us if you are able!  Come hear and be healed!

Last but not least, be sure to grab an October calendar this Sunday!  We have a lot of things happening in October, including a workday on Saturday, October 10th!
